In his letters he explained his great findings and the difference in each land. I know in times he ran into hardships and some people didnt agree with him. He brought unwelcomed issues at times but he also opened a lot more opportunities for the new lands. I believe Columbus was optimistic. Some explorers when they ran into problems they would just send their travels. Columbus kept going; he would fit though and keep on. His accomplishment was the first to be recorded and fully documented. His voyages and findings are what established the United States. So yes, he might have encountered some negative things but he did do more positive than negative. Columbus became the sign of hope, glory, and the new age. Is John Smith a reliable narrator?
