Log Section 1 – One reflective entry
As I sit to reflect on the first three weeks of this semester, I am quite proud of myself. I also think that it must be longer, I feel like I have been doing this for years now. Although at first I found that I was overloaded with new information, once I started to get through some of the activities, I found it much easier.
I thought I would actually find it harder to get into “uni” mode. I have been able to allocate enough time to study and continue with my everyday life. I was initially terrified by the idea that I had signed up, but I am now so glad I did. My real fear was that I would be unable to cope with the demand and the work, but as the course has gone on I find that it does get easier. Not only understanding the work but adjusting to the workload and combining it with home.
Some areas I have had more difficulty with and have spent more time doing, other I have flown through and then gone back to ensure I have it right, thinking that I must have missed something. The Tutorial Group has been a major part of the ease in which I am able to understand or when I am stuck I can see that others are having the same problem and we can sort it out between us.
On the overall, I believe my decision to be right for not only me but my family also. In doing this study I have proven to myself that I am still capable of learning and not just teaching. The most amazing part to me has been the support from my family. The children have been studying a great deal more to (If Mum can, so can I).
