John Travolta played Danny the High School “slicker”, and Olivia Newton-John played Sandy the polite, sweet, goody-goody high school-er.
Grease takes place on a High School summer break in 1958. Its the summer break of Danny and Sandy.
During summer Break Sandy and Danny meet on the beach, the two of them became close over the summer and fell in love. However, Sandy is not a local and was supposed to move away to Austria. So Danny thought that their summer love was coming to and end.
Luckily plans changed and Sandy ends up enrolling in Dannys High School. The main part of the movie takes place in Sandy and Dannys High School. The two are complete opposites from the beginning Sandy is involved with a clique called the “pink ladies”, while Danny is the leader of a group called the T-birds. The T-Birds are the “slickers” of High School, while the Pink ladys is a group of girls that are goodie-goodies.
The entire movie is based on two opposite High School teenagers falling in love.
