Stopping technology abroad
There has been much debate on the type of research and how that research is conducted on human beings. Doctors are sworn to protect and save lives, not to jeopardize lives. There are laws as well as regulations that doctors have to abide by. Should this doctor continue her studies after she was denied by the medical board her license could be provoked and she will never be able to work as a doctor in the United States? If perhaps the doctor continues her research in the United States she shall be prosecuted in the court of law.
The United States has numerous concerns if this doctor were to take her studies to another country it could fall into the wrong hands and could be harmful to human kind. The United States would have to inform other countries of this doctors studies and the seriousness of why she should not be able to continue her studies in any country. The United States government would inform other countries that also are against the reproduction of human kind. Regretfully there are countries that would not see this type of study as a violation of the law which, the doctor could further her studies. The United States would have to make an international law that would prohibit any doctor from conducting studies that can be harmful to the human kind.
If the doctor were to continue her studies in a country that did not prohibit the research the United States could not control it. Unfortunately, there is not too much the United States can do in such cases as this one, and it is a great concern because this type of research can be harmful to humans. The United States should work at getting all countries to recognize the concerns of using research that has not been fully tested or the researcher is not completely sure of the effects this procedure would have on humans in years to come. The only way the United States could stop her from continuing her studies in another country would be to have international laws.
All doctors are sworn into a code of conduct to protect and save human life. When a doctor has been denied a patent on a particular study, that doctor should be banned from performing such test anywhere in the world. The United States must come up with international laws and regulations.
