The Valuable Secondary Source
In todays modern society, the way we receive and send out information greatly differs from the past. With the technology expanded more and more every day, e-mails can be sent with the blink of an eye and the information is right there at your fingertips. Due to the ever changing technology, the type of sources and the way that we get them is significantly different. In most cases, the primary source is more confusing and less desirable. The primary source often has a great deal of unnecessary information and distractions. This is because most of the time, the primary source is a recorded video or a speech directly for the people involved. Typically, the source is long and boring. The secondary source, however, is usually right to the point. All of the unnecessary is eliminated and the main point is easily conveyed. Secondary sources are much superior to primary sources because the information of the source is clearly understood with no distractions.
In the case of my primary and secondary sources, this remains true. My secondary source has the same information but much shorter and to the point. Because my primary source is a video that is twenty-five minutes in length, it is full of distractions and pauses. The secondary source is an article about Herman Cain dropping out of the Presidential race, so the information still remains. The fact that he was accused of infidelity and denied it is present in both sources. Overall, I believe that the secondary source was more beneficial and helpful.
