Parallelism and Paradoxs are two different forms of teaching and learning in a way that the message is given differently, but has a similar ending result. We have read a variety of stories that include both parallelism and a paradox. Parallelism is when there is a use of imagery, expressions, or sentence that are similar in writing and have a similar meaning. A paradox is the use of two opposites that are both true in meaning.
A paradox is two opposites but actually have the same meaning. For example, a pistol can be used for recreational fun, collections, hobbies, a sport and of course protection. At the same time a pistol can be one of the most deadliest threats available to human beings. Another example would simply be the truth. A correct statement is true, and the opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. When the opposite of a truth is stated, another truth has really been stated.
When you look at life with the rich and poor it makes you wonder what this would fall under. The rich are money wise richer, and have more power than the average person. A poor person, does not have much money and is generally considered the lowest of all people. The other side of it has a much
