Self Leadership – Sushma Swaraj
There are many leaders who have inspired me throughout my life at different stages like APJ Abdul Kalam, MS Dhoni, Saurav Ganguly, Amitabh Bachchan but my recent inspiration has been Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs. There are various qualities which she possesses and few of the m which I have learnt from her are as follows:
1. Take Initiative – Apart from doing her regular works, she also reached out to people in need and tries to help them in all possible ways. There are various examples where she has helped Indian as well foreign nationals in in getting Visas, Passport on time for their medical, professional or personal needs.
2. Quick to take action/respond. – When someone asks her for help, she is quick to reply. She recently helped a girl who was a migrant from Pakistan. The girl was facing difficulties in getting admission to a college due to unavailability of her Migration certificate when Sushma Swaraj came to her rescue. She contacted the Deputy CM of Delhi , Manish Sisodia, who is from a different party , to help the girl.
3. Hard Working, Dedicated & Result Oriented – She is hardworking and dedicated towards her work. The most recent example which I can quote for her dedication towards her work is that she was keeping a tap on the request/problems of people even when she was admitted to hospital due to her kidney related problems. Even is such a situation, she ensured her availability to help anyone, if required.
4. Good Communicator – She is a good communicator with good hold in English and Hindi. She has displayed her communication skills a numerous time, be it while talking on an issue in Parliament or while representing India in SAARC ASEAN.
Few things which I tried to implement in real life situations are:
1. To lead from the front in difficult situations.
2. Taking responsibility for
