VegetarianismEssay Preview: VegetarianismReport this essayI scanned my environment for ideas. I asked myself, “What is it with meat?” I realized most food retail establishments in the Philippines were into low-priced, low nutrition and unhealthy commercial food products. The market had very few healthier alternatives. There and then I knew there had to be something better. I became curious about vegetarianism. So one day to satisfy my thirst, I surfed the web for answers. I was astonished with the answers and information I found out. One English website showed statistics that 10% of UKs population is vegetarian and growing and 25% of the world population is trying to reduce meat consumption. One main reason for this is the plague of animal based sickness spreading globally such as Mad Cow Disease which is the effect of using Genetically Modified Organisms in feeds, fertilizers and products. Hand in hand with this global trend, I learned about the growing consciousness in organically grown food. There were important social and economic factors that were making it increasingly costly to eat meat. Governments spend hundreds of billions of dollars on medical care for problems such as heart disease and cancer, which are perfectly preventable on a vegetarian diet. I even discovered that some great scientists, one of whom is Albert Einstein were vegetarians. But what made me excited about the different articles I read was that the fact that the whole essence of the vegetarian lifestyle had a deep longing for change. The word vegetarian, comes from the Latin word vegetus, meaning “whole, sound, fresh, or lively,” The original meaning of the word implies a balanced philosophical and moral sense of life, a lot more than just a diet of vegetables and fruits.
Imagine a healthy world where people do not have to worry about diseases a world where hunger is not a concern. A place where people maximize the health giving nutrients of the food they take. Now, imagine a sustainable world a life-enhancing society that meets its present needs without compromising the needs of the future generationa place where everyone can have equal access to opportunities. Now, imagine a harmonious world where people live a balanced lifestyle. All in all, imagine a healthy, sustainable and harmonious world… Youre probably saying to yourselves “This girl is crazy! What the hell kind of imaginary world is that?” But come to think of it, no matter who we
In reality, you’d think it would be the one in the top 6 in a list. The average person would like to imagine the world like this. Well, imagine a more realistic world with a healthier economy, lower prices, better nutrition, better education, better health, lower social standards, less poverty and, maybe the greatest benefit to society. And if you think that one day it goes to mean everything, imagine what the people who want it will be like to become a part of that world. Now the “real world” is always a dream, but it may only happen when one of the major stakeholders has a plan in hand to bring the entire world to the end. So, what about the “real world in a healthy, sustainable and harmonious world”? The reality is that it’s always more or less the same. If you want to stop the trend of economic stagnation, you’ll have to start thinking about how to transform a current economic system, in the form of a modern, modern welfare state. In the beginning, we could be talking about a socialized economy with a balanced distribution, so that everyone gets the best food that best fits their individual needs. But then, we could go a little further, where everyone gets a fair share of that nutritious, good, nutritious food so everyone has an equal chance to grow up and develop their own wealth. People who are healthy, productive, educated, socialized will be much better than people who aren’t healthy, productive, educated, Socialized. People with less education, less income etc. would be far better off if they grow up prosperous and have more productive social ties, and those who are earning less would be far better off. We could use an economic system that works for everyone but not just for everyone, just to create a system that works for everybody, but for everyone. So how can we do that?
Many people think the only way to accomplish this goal of increasing the level of social security is to create more of our own money. But as far as I know, none of these proposals are even proposed in Congress. They’re just not included in the budgeting act and all are in the budget process, so we really don’t know. The people who propose them are just passing on the good news. Our future government will never raise any money to pay Social Security’s needs. It will never raise taxes on the top 1% or raise taxes on the bottom 400 or increase Social Security’s income. It will never raise any money from either the rich or the poor folks. If we try to accomplish this with social security, it will take over the means of providing the wealth that is needed to make it available even for those in need, and
