Importance of Ims
Introduction
About a month ago, the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area was hit with a storm that left many people out of touch with friends and family for days. Now, imagine a customer walking out of your place of work full of joy because he/she has just switched over to a telecommunication company that has a proven track record of having a reliable network. That is the company I work for, a company with over 94 million customers nationwide providing communications services to consumers, businesses, government and wholesale customers. Being that my company provides communication through data transfers from one device to another or machine to machine. Information systems management is the core to the success of my organization. Dr. James Stewart mentioned that information systems management is important because some data can be critical to organizational success. The same can be said for my organization because of the nature of services we provide. The following assignment will address the mission, goals and importance of information management in my organization.
