Energy Flow in our world
1) a. The first piece of clothing I picked out was made in Vietnam. The second piece of clothing I picked was made in Peru.
b. Vietnam Sweatshirt- 1) Workers in China collect cotton earning very little pay and working long hours. (Human Labor) 2) After cotton is collected it is then shipped down south to Vietnam. (Transportation) 3) Once arriving at Vietnam it is brought into the working place and is ready for production. Many of these workers work long hours and earn very less for making the sweatshirt. 4) Cotton is produced into a sweatshirt and is ready for shipping to the U.S. (Human Labor) 5) The item is then flown to Europe and then shipped on a boat to America. (Transportation) 6) Once in America it is put on trucks and shipped to warehouse of Express clothing. 7) After in the warehouse it is shipped all over America to different Express stores and is ready for purchase 1000 of miles away from where it original was made.

3) Vietnam: lowest 10%: 2.9% Population below Poverty: 14.8%
highest 10%: 28.9% Unemployment: 4.3%
Difference: 26%
As you can see from these statistics Vietnam people are experiencing adversity. The population below Poverty is 14.8%, and unemployment is 4.3%. There is a gap of 26% between lowest and highest house income. This is a major difference between the two so that is far from an egalitarian system were everything is equal. Many people in Vietnam have a hard time acquiring power and access to resources due to lack of money. Vietnam would like to be a ranked society, but in reality they are closer to a stratified society, where there is unequal access to strategic resources and fewer positions of prestige.
4) Peru Lactose Shirt

b. $45.00/ 3,450 = .0130 (Peru)
c. This large gap means people in the U.S is due to the economic strength in the United States. This means that people in the U.S dont forfeit much when buy they buy the product. Its only a small proportion of their average income. It does not hurt them as it would hurt a person from Peru buying this product.
5) a) People who manufacture the clothing suffer great cost. When a male or female makes the clothing they suffer health and economy time. Workers are forced to work long hours and even longer days. Starting with periods of work where a break is not given. There are no benefits to mostly any of these workers. Additionally, the working space is often crowed and cramped with many people all around.
