ALL CONTRACT BIDDERS OF RECORD, OWNER,
CONSULTING ENGINEERS, PLAN SERVICES AND OTHER
ORGANIZATIONS CONCERNED WITH THIS PROJECT.
The following changes, additions or deletions are for the above
referenced contract documents; all other conditions shall remain the
same. This addendum forms a part of the contract documents and
modifies them as follows:
General Bid Information Items:
1. Request for Proposal:
a. Article 3 Introduction and General Instructions:
i. Paragraph 1.a: Delete the words “Hard Bid”. The
submitted cost / price shall be a “Guaranteed Maximum
Price Proposal” with a list of exceptions. The pricing
shall include the level of specified materials and
products listed in the addenda. Alternative products will
only be reviewed through the Value Engineering
Suggestions. An updated schedule of values is attached
to this addendum and now includes a line for a “Project
Contingency”. This form shall be used to submit your
price.
ii. Per Paragraph 1.d, the contractor may submit a
separate list of value engineering suggestions at the
time of the submittal.
b. Article 9 Owner Responsibility – Clarifications:
i. Data Communications, Structured Cabling – installation
shall be the contractors responsibility.
ii. Access Control, Intrusion, Electronic Surveillance –
cabling and device installation shall be the contractors
responsibility.
iii. Fire Alarm – wiring and device installation shall be the
contractors responsibility.
iv. Restaurant and Laundry Equipment – Purchased by
Owner. Contractor to coordinate installation with
building utilities.
v. Hospital Equipment – Purchased by Owner. Contractor

ITEM 2:
to coordinate installation with building utilities.
vi. Window Coverings – Furnished and installed by the
contractor.
vii. Furnishings by Owner.
Interiors Package (dated 02.14.13):
1. Wall Types:
a. Refer to code analysis sheets in Core/Shell Package for fire
rated partitions and smoke partitions, sheets g1.2 through
g1.4. All corridor walls, fire and smoke walls, walls between
departments, office walls, conference room walls extend to
concrete deck above.
b. 2nd floor – all patient room and corridor partitions extend to
concrete deck.
c. All gypsum board partitions and ceilings shall have a Level 5
finish.
2. Paint:
a. Dunn Edwards Healthcare Specification – see attached.
b. Provide (1) accent wall per room.
c. Lobbies and Restaurant will have multiple accent colors.
3. Wall Protection / Cubicle Curtains: Basis of Design InPro
Corporation, as shown on wall protection plans, sheets B-a5.0,
a. PVC Wall Protection – Rigid Wall Sheet IPC #405 Velvet

b. Bumper Guards – IPC #1500
c. Handrail – IPC #3500VV
d. Corner Guards – IPC #150
e. Wall Ends / Guards – IPC #160D
f. Cubicle Curtain Track – InPro Whisper Cube Track with
IPC#CE9038 ball and chain carrier, curtains by owner.
4. OR Walls: Basis of Design Altro Whiterock hygienic wall system
a. Provide at all walls in OR Rooms, Sterile Core, and Cath
b. Hot-welded joints
c. Must be installed by a professional installer, preferably one
that has attended an Altro Whiterock installation clinic.
5. Interior Doors:
a. Solid core Acrovyn doors with stainless steel edges. Wood
doors – 5 ply by Algoma or equal. Factory finished and
hardware prepared.
b. Refer to updated door schedules on revised sheets B-a4.0,
1-a4.2, 1-a4.3, 2-a4.1 for door types.
