Water pollution – a warning situation1/Introduction-Greeting and self-introduction: Good afternoon everyone. Welcome to my presentation and I’m very happy that you’ve come here. I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Ly Khanh Linh. I’m sophomore at International University. My main major is business administration.-Attention getter: Before came here this morning, had you drunk a cup of water? Supposed that one day there is no fresh water in the world, how could you survive? Did you know that in the next 100 years, we might die of thirstiness?-Connection to the topic & credibility: All these questions came to my mind after I had read an article about water pollution.-Review: My presentation will consist of three parts. Firstly, I will tell you what the news was about. Secondly, I’ll explain why it concerned me the most and finally, I’d like to analyze how it influences society in general and all of you here in particular.-Time: It will take you about 5-6 minutes. I’ll answer any question at the end of my speech.-Transition: Now, lets start.
2/BodyA / What the news was aboutAs you know, lately the water pollution has become a serious problem. On June 20th, 2012 . Appearing on www.vnexpress.net, written by Tran Van Ha, reported the news titled “Water pollution – a warning situation”. The writer claimed that the reasons for water pollution came from the rapidly increasing population and industrialization. A large number of rivers that was polluted located around big cities, especially Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city.  Besides, it gives us some primary information about its affection and solutions. Now, I’ll move to the reason why it made me concerned this much.B/ The reason to concernFirst of all, as a prediction for the future, I afraid of the day we no longer have fresh water to use, and it will be too late to fix our mistakes. Secondly, this is not only my concern but also a lot of other people in the world. Its a vital question, the matter of life and death. Next, we are going to discuss how it influences society and you here.C/ InfluencePhysically, it causes us multi-diseases for both man and the creatures live under the water. Economically, its a burden to the development of a country and it worsens the view of the city in the foreigners opinion. Particularly, it affects directly to each of your lives. If we do not take an action now, there would be no more water to drink, wash our hands, shower, etc. So, I think you all understand the importance of finding a solution for keeping the water unpolluted.
