There are many different ways for companies to eliminate discrimination at work. One way is through introducing and communicating policies and roles, these policies should become part of standard daily business practices and operations. Policies should include hiring policies as well employee conduct standards or code of conducts. Such rules that fight discrimination would include firing, suspending or expelling those that use foul language, discriminatory jokes, name calling and foul body gestures.These policies and procedures help give employees and employers the way to deal with different cultures and natives. Another way is to provide regular training and workshops on regular basis to build awareness, and find solutions for internal diversity problems. Thirdly, companies should develop monitoring programs with employees and management and establish community mentoring programs. Moreover, companies should design and implement communications methods and systems for employees to seek help if discrimination occurs. Employees need to have a course of action they can count on when something is wrong with set disciplinary actions in place for violations.
