Tangled in lies
“I cannot tell a lie” this was a famous quote said by one of our very own United States presidents. George Washington says he cannot tell a lie, however, that doesnt mean he never did because according to the article “Do men of women lie the most?” By the Jet magazine, it explains that weather your are a woman or a man, everybody lies has lied or will lie. So since everybody lies we will find it fair to categorize these lies into three major segments according to their seriousness or level of gravity also according to the situation in which they were told.
The first type of lie that we will talk about is the least of all evils, a white lie. A white lie is told in order to protect someone or yourself. For example, when a friend asks you if you think her boyfriend is good looking, and you say yes, it is a white lie if your actual thoughts were that you have never seen a most hideous human being in your life, or something along those lines. White lies are the most common types of lies because not only are they easy and most of the time they come naturally but also they are usually harmless and dont involve much of a background story to come along with it. According to Jet magazine it says “a recent study showed that 91% of all people lie on a regular basis” 91% is a large amount of the population, and the rest of the 9% most likely lie every once in a while.
The second type of lie we are going to mention is a mediocre lie. A mediocre lie would be describes as probably not as harmless as a white lie but involving a little more effort and background story tagged along. When telling a mediocre lie there isnt much of a harmful intention but they are mostly told for self benefit and not in the best interest of others. It is a way of trickery or deceitfulness.
