Experience Working in a Recreation SettingJoin now to read essay Experience Working in a Recreation SettingMy objective is to bring excitement, drive and determination to this position, based on the wide variety of activities this company has to offer. With this position I will be able to facilitate the development of the youth who participate in programs into well rounded individuals. I also have ideas on helping students prepare for the Statewide testing (ITBS, COGAT), plus programs for underprivileged and at-risk students. These are just some of my ideas for growing and developing our youth, which can build on the great foundation of activities that you already have in place.
Sport leagues at the YMCA are great. The kids are well coached and trained in that particular sport he/she is participating in. Working with the youth and adults has been and will be challenging but I stay positive. With kids, I make sure to keep them active and hold their attention. When dealing with a number of kids, you have to stay patient. You have to keep kids involved in the activity because they tend to switch their attention away from your activity. I try to make a positive impact on each childs life, whether its in sports or in school, by just being a mentor or someone that is open for conversation. Working with adults, you have to be precise and efficient with your work. I try to helpful with assembling information out to those particular individuals. I recently had a conversation with your website about the “Flexible Team”.
Flexibility: You were looking specifically at the kids that have experienced the Flexible team and you’ve been encouraging them to learn by doing so because it has given them an increased level of access to the various sports they are participating in (think about how you want to improve your program). What are some of the strengths of Flexibility:
It provides more than just your parents. It can also do good things for a number of kids. Flexibility makes the training or activities more beneficial for them, and especially helps them to find their way back from a challenge.
The team needs to be organized.
You work a little more than some of the others.
You work with the kids in a similar way.
You can give them a sense of purpose and purpose is something that the players should be looking for when they’re young.
The kids have an opportunity to play sports with you.
The kids have a chance to have fun.
Flexibility: As a kid you were looking at how Flexibility can be used to help kids with multiple sports.
What’s your vision for the kids to learn from Flexible:
Learn through Flexibility: Flexibility’s focus is on building character-building skills while making the sport more enjoyable. Flexible means not breaking the rules or limiting the activities by limits or restrictions. Flexibility is designed to help kids to feel supported and connected from competitive level of play to adult level of play. Flexibility isn’t just based on physical and skill training. It goes beyond just that. It’s a game of skill. If the ball is going in your hand it’s going to give that ball a little feel to it before it hits the ground. Flexibility is about the players doing the things they need to and that is what Flexibility creates. Your children as well as me can work with Flexible because we are going to make sure we are taking the sport to where people can go and get involved. If they want to change the game or play a sport it’s a good idea to be around them as much as possible.
How Flexibility works: Flexibility is a game of skill. There are things when you play the game without limits you can do to make it fun but there are also things you can’t do with limits you may have. If you want to do something like doing yoga, or practicing walking, or running, then Flexibility will help you to achieve those things both for the fun of it and in the form of a sport in that form.
What Flexibility means to your team: Flexibility means being a part of a sport. If kids like skateboarding, they like sports with high energy, speed. A sport where physical play is taught and the skill of having a safe and enjoyable day and having fun is part of what Flexibility is all about. To make that happen you need to continue to learn. Flexibility is about building trust. You can build trust with your children because you know that kids play sports with a lot of intensity and a lot of discipline. That does become important when being a part of the sport because it has provided
