STATEMENT OF PURPOSETANIA MODIManagement and programming fascinated me from my school days itself. So I knew that it would be a combination of technology and management that I would eventually pursue. As under-graduation allowed me to delve into the depths of Digital System Design, and Database Management System, a strong foundation for MIS was gradually created. My major project and an internship thereafter gave me an opportunity to apply the concepts of these subjects and strengthen my skills. Post under-graduation, I joined Computer Sciences Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. as an Associate Professional wherein, I worked on a project titled, âRoyal Mail Groupâ, during which enhancement of Door-to-Door application within a given timeline was my primary task. Additionally, responsible for some critical applications like EPOD, BMAC in Java Team using Struts 1.3.5 framework, I developed an urge to explore the sea of opportunities offered in management. Therefore, working on âUS AXAâ, for âAXA â United Statesâ as a team member of the Project Management team, I focused on myriad aspects of project management, risk management and resource management. It is now that I have become cognizant with the importance of maintaining quality in all aspects. This brought to my notice the need to upgrade my skills further and attain competency in the IT sector so as to accomplish my long term goal of managing an international organization that leverages technology for the benefit of nation and its people.
I believe that my leadership ability budded from the school time with the success of becoming The Head Girl which gave me the confidence to build and guide teams, which further flourished professionally with my work experience as well as with the position of Talent Club Lead for Team âChatterratiâ at CSC, Noida, where Iâm responsible for planning, budgeting and implementing all Talent showcasing events and competitions at the organization. It has now instilled in me the importance of leading the production and delivery of high quality product, following it through till the end. Bearing in mind these traits, which I consider are my core strengths, as well as my interest and aspiration, I am convinced that the Masterâs of Science in Information Systems program is now the most logical step for me to take. Thus, I am motivated to apply for the graduate program at the San Diego State University where- The Leadership Starts. The curriculum at the University is aptly designed to help me learn management and crucial business strategies as per the dynamic global requirement. The flexibility of the program and its adjustment to individual experience and background is the reason why the University is my preferred choice. In particular, I would like to intensify my skills under the aegis of Dr. Y. Helio Yang, as her expertise in Operations, Supply Management and Project will crystallize my desire to augment my knowledge in the very same area.
