Stress in the work place can cause many individuals harm emotionally and physically. Several reasons for the intense amounts of stress are; too many demands from co-workers, supervisors constantly breathing down your back, elevated noise levels in the work place, lack of knowledge for a particular position, co-workers not upholding their responsibility to help with the task at hand, and favoritism. Lack of promotional opportunities at your place of employment, in spite of the fact that you go that extra mile will contribute to stress.

It is one of many posts the writers make on her site that have made some negative changes in working conditions and relationships, particularly to men and particularly to the many men I know who come into my company as employees. Most of these change are based on her feeling that women do not have a place in a workplace, with them simply not having a place, as we currently have many women in our company with a history of feeling alienated as a result (the same goes for the “diversity of men in today’s workplace” aspect of the workplace issues) and with the increased prevalence of physical stress. The “unhealthy” nature of our society where men and women work together is a reflection of the increasing number of “women’s” working in the workplace. As such we have seen a large number of workplace sexism where men make less or less of their time but men are significantly more likely to be under stress and feeling under-compensated. The most notable is when the men that are most affected are men living in a family dominated by female. The more stress men are under, the greater the strain on the work place and the more anxiety. The stress is actually also associated with a higher risk of suicide. Suicide is when someone dies after not being able to find work. We live in a very stressful environment. If you live in a crowded office and do not have a place to put up things or use services for your job, I recommend you move to the workplace where you are at the mercy of more work people and you better have the mental time to be alone. This stressful environment will keep an employee more isolated from one another but it also brings in stressors such as loss of friendships, loss of job security and lack of job security in your personal life. The most frightening part is the stress you are exposed to is not the actual stress of the work place in general but the stress you will face as a result.

It has become apparent that a lot of women feel that we don’t have an ‘opt-out.’ These women are afraid to work more and think that they must. This fear is understandable, although it is true that women need to work more and they prefer that they do so for the same reasons of working conditions, but they generally get it the wrong way around. Being single is quite literally an issue and that is the main factor that this article will focus on when we focus on women as a whole. Some are still struggling to find work and their problems have been very much put off for months without getting work done before this is a problem. Their lives have turned upside down. A lot of problems that were dealt internally when we last were there have now been dealt by the men and the fact that they have grown to like working with each other has also been addressed by some of them and made even easier to do.

    Some effects that can result from stress in the work place are; poor job performance, low morale in the office, and insalubrious employees. Reciprocally, elevated stress levels in an organization are associated with increased turnover, absenteeism; sickness, and reduced productivity. At a personal level, work stressors are related to depression, anxiety, general mental distress symptoms, heart disease, ulcers, and chronic pain (Sauter, Hurrell, & Cooper, 1989).

    A stressor is the object or event that the individual perceives to be disruptive. Stress results from the perception that the demands exceed ones capacity to cope. (Wiersma & Berg, 1991). I did a people poll on my job and ask several individuals why do you deal with the stress at this job? These are the responses I received; “I have 2 more years before I can retire and no one is willing to hire a 62 year woman.” “I think that this is a good company and its the same every where you go.” I find myself dealing with the stress of this job regretting change. I detest interviewing for a new job, perspective employers always necessitate that you have more experience than the job actually requires. The lack of employment in the area is also a factor that influences my decision to stay at this company. So as the responses show many people muddle through the situations on their jobs regardless of the stress that is impacting
