American leader of organized labor John L. Lewis once stated “Let the workers organize. Let toilers assemble. Let the crystallize voice proclaim their injustice and demand their privileges. Let all thoughtful citizens sustain them ,for the future of labor is the future of America.” Mr. Lewis worked for the rights of many coal miners and organized industrial workers in 1930. If this union right exist in the 1900s than why can workers of Wally World Inc be given the right to form a Union themselves. Workers should be able to have the opportunity to form an organized union.
Labor Unions have had a long history in the United States it brings workers together to lobby for better rights, wages and , benefits. Being in a union has many advantages. If you were to take a look at history, a lot has changed and much has been developed in the area of wages and welfare work. The US government enacted the Social Security Act in 1935 and this was the first time where workers consideration was taken into account. Throughout the times that followed, many more things were developed in providing better wages and wage-alternatives to the workers . This was all possible because of the interaction between the management and the unions. It is highly unlikely that a single worker could have worked to have these laws implemented. However, it were the unions that were able to bargain with the management and able to provide such wage benefits as fringe benefits. Fringe benefits, also known as employee benefits, perquisites, or perks, are provided to many employees by their organizations. Many new organizations provide some extra benefits to the employees in order to give them more incentive to work. These benefits can include anything from basic medical and dental coverage to extremely lavish company-paid vacations. These packages were developed through management-union agreements that came about because of the governments taxation and social insurance policies
Wally World employes want to have a labor unions for the simple fact that they want to be able to protect their wages and improve their wages, hours, and working conditions. They want to feel represented and want to have an organized group for when a problem at work arises and they need to address it with higher officials. Wally World Inc workers would benefit from the forming of the union. Union members have the benefit of negotiating with their employer as a group. This right gives them more power than if they were to negotiate individual. This will give the workers empowerment and make them important.
Forming a Union will protect the workers of Wally World Inc. It will have justified right written and in the case of bosses breaking these rights than they have a set of rules that would protect them manner Unions allow the workers to ask for their legitimate rights. Unions can enforce job security standard. Unions can argue unfair treatment, where a person claims
