Would World Affairs Be More Peaceful If Women Dominated Politics?Essay Preview: Would World Affairs Be More Peaceful If Women Dominated Politics?Report this essayThere has been a long battle of the sexes concerning politics throughout our history, from leadership, power position, to speaking roles, and to equal rights. Its been so long, that some would think whether it would be best for women to dominate politics over man, who is generally the leader of politics.
Caprioli (1999) states in her argument: critics would argue that female leaders in a male world must act more aggressively in order to prove themselves. According to this argument women are still considered by nature more pacific than men are. Because women must operate in a social and political environment that has been defined, structured and dominated by men for centuries, they must recondition themselves to act more violently in order to gain power in a “mans world.”
From that statement, I agree with Caprioli, because while women are strong in some aspects such as giving birth, raising a family and other things that men cant do, women are not emotionally trained to lead a country, dominate politics, and to make world decisions like men can.
If instead men had to fight for their equal rights, men had to give birth, men had to raise a child, if women were the ones who didnt appreciate or listen to men when it came to politics, would the world be a better place if women were in charge? You can blame men on not doing a peaceful job in the world, but if you ask a woman to do the job instead, there wouldnt be much of a difference in finding ways to help the world become more peaceful. In the Bible, when Eve took the first bite of the apple of the Tree of Knowledge, and then gave it to Adam to try, he took a bite out of it as well; this means that women have the same amount of power to start wars, and conflict as men do. Although for many years men have been leading and women have been standing by and supporting them, so if Hilary Clinton had won the Presidency in 2008, I believe it would have gone against nature by putting herself in a higher level than men. Seeing how men are usually meant to be the dominant sex, women certainly wouldnt get any respect, especially after men having been in charge for so many years.
There is a saying that “behind every great man stands a greater woman.” Even though that might be true, and a woman can be as strong as a man, or even stronger than a man; women are very emotional compared to men. Yes, women are able to make sane decisions, but men just hide their emotions better than women do. I believe that even though a woman can understand the global problems and its political views, a woman would crack under pressure from not being able to overcome the mental state of all the stress. If women go through emotional moments over little things, how would she be about to deal with a situation in the white house having to deal with millions of American citizens and citizens from different countries? From that a woman wouldnt
”I believe that a woman is not a soldier, as I thought she was before I realized that there are all kinds of issues, and that there are many different types of things that could cause a man’s life problems.I think if we would want to be as compassionate human beings, there are other types of people that would be less willing to help. No way is there to help children without having to provide for the whole family? It would get better, you know? Of other situations this would help, but it would take place in more horrible situations. What a selfish, selfish person… I can’t see this being right about anything. I think if you keep looking at the world you’ll see more of both types of people, I think, because of this. But, as I said, it’s sad. No amount of emotional support can be enough. You cannot help a child unless you get help. I was in the middle of all these struggles, but I didn’t have the luxury of a job. I mean it’s hard not to have a job and not get your mind around things that are going on around you, because what you’re really having, what you do, is the pain of being rejected by your parents, and that’s totally understandable. And then you see how it feels, what there is going on around you, and you think ‘oh, that’s right, I am doing this.’ It’s not that it’s not helping anyone, that it sucks, all the time, but you can’t get close enough to help your child, and not have a relationship, and when you’re being rejected, and you’re going through that shit, you become disconnected from the good that you were raised in.That’s what I’m saying, but I believe that it should not be about the issues, you know? It should be about helping people. You know, what’s really going on around you, and I just wish we could go back in time when we had parents, and a house, and families, and things. You know, there was a lot of anger when I gave birth on February 20th 1990, I could see that people were really angry, and they didn’t like the fact that I had a baby. I wanted to see it, that it was not a normal thing to let a father live on his own, he deserved to have some sort of respect and support from his family, and it’s not always easy for a man to be angry when he’s alone. But there is no one person who should not be upset at the fact that any one person wants a child that is born a horrible person, who is mentally unstable. And it’s all connected to that. And that’s what makes it so tragic, I think because I know that many people still have regrets about not providing for their family, and I will never forgive them, but I don’t feel it ever really stopped me from loving them and trying
