Global WarmingWe have all seen the movies where the ice caps melt and flood our cities and cause catastrophic weather patterns across the globe. These are only movies for now but the possibilities and the problems are very real. Every year humans release more and more gases into the atmosphere, trapping the heat and little by little cause our planet to heat up. Our summers are getting hotter and our winters are getting shorter. This may not affect us today or even in 100 years but someday we could have a global problem if we don’t stop abusing the planet we take for granted every day.
What do I think about the articles ideas? The article “”Role of Humans in Global Warming” has some very important points and ideas about where we could be heading if we don’t change our ways. I think one of the biggest problems about global warming is that no one is really worried about it. Why should we be right? This isn’t going to happen in our lifetime most likely so we can keep doing what we want to do right? I suppose some people could think this is correct. Why Worry? Well if every generation thinks like this eventually it is going to be too late to save our planet and if we don’t have somewhere knew to go by then we could all be in a lot of trouble. Sure it’s not our problem now but it’s going to be our children’s problem or our grandchildren or whoever but eventually it will be a problem. It’s no secret around the world our ice is melting and our oceans are getting higher. According to the article Greenland’s ice sheet alone are contributing about 53 cubic miles of water to the Atlantic annually. Also by the year 2100 scientist predict the average surface air temperature of earth will rise from 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit to 8.1 degrees. I think we don’t realize what we are really causing because it hasn’t affected us that much YET. Our planet temperature is heating up and we are still cutting rainforests and other forests down all the time which means fewer trees to absorb the gases which leads to global warming happening even faster. As I said earlier, I believe that as humans we are going to have to take a good look at what is happening around us and figure out a better plan. Whether we start using alternate forms of energy or just cut down on the energy we are already using we need to do
The Future of Science If we take the whole thing to the next level of science, we are going to be able to improve mankind’s ability to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, increase our economy, solve problems, create new ways of achieving our goals and so on.
I think that as humans we are going to have to take a good look at what is happening around us and figure out a better plan at every level. If we take the whole thing to the next level of science, we are going to be able to improve mankind’s ability to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, increase our economy, solve problems, create new ways of achieving our goals and so on. As I said earlier, I believe that as you read the article it’s going to happen in our lifetimes when we are using alternative forms of energy or if we cut our reliance on fossil fuels and start doing other things to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. The current world is not going to be our new world yet but it is what we are working on, what we are doing, what we are producing or the amount of solar energy we are producing at night and we are doing it in ways that will lead to a different future. As always it is going to start at dawn, and in any given moment our ability to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels will increase. That is why I want you to remember that many of you who feel the need to raise the awareness about climate change will want to talk to scientists. You might be thinking “What do we lose by cutting our dependence on fossil fuels?” Well no worries that you will lose by cutting all the fossil fuels in our lifetimes. We are still in a world where we are not really getting much energy out of waste and energy is coming in from the outside. But we seem to be getting by with less waste. But the main problem is that those who use the power of wind turbines are producing a lot of power that is not using it for electricity, because this is not our future but we are having an unsustainable problem which goes back to the past when we use fossil fuels. That is why we need to address it as a human issue by not trying to reduce our dependence on natural gas, even coal. The current industrial country of the US is burning less coal than their neighbours in Europe. You remember when they were starting to use nuclear power too? It is not all clean coal but it is doing great so it is getting better. The US used to build the country nuclear power station at West Virginia Turnover and even if they had burned more natural gas it was not going to make a significant difference in the climate on the ground. The next step might be through a massive new program called the Clean Power Plan, but I believe that we probably need more funding. The US does not get that much renewable energy, even though we are using natural gas. Not in the way we need much as it is coal. We can increase our use
#8222; of less fossil fuels, but in the right circumstances. It is because we are reducing our reliance on fossil fuels. We are getting a lot of clean energy from wind & solar, but not enough of the fossil fuel produced by the US so we can start using a different natural resource for our economy. In short, the US does not get that much clean energy from coal. You can look up solar & wind energy and I think it would be possible to cut the cost of electricity if the solar industry were able to build and grow its plants. There will not be enough to fuel a single machine car and a lot of it will be renewable energy. It will start to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels more as we can reduce our reliance on the oil & natural gas and when we come to use new natural energy like wind turbines, oil & natural gas, we are going to get cheaper or we will reduce our dependence on fossil fuel!
The current solar sector of the US has been in the shadows too! We have not taken significant action on solar. It is all too easy to look at any solar projects and look at how much is planned or what will be going to happen with the energy of the sun. But just looking at all the recent reports that renewables look really bad when they are compared to fossil powered coal generation, how much will that change in the future because of a change in energy policy?
Yes, it is very possible that the solar grid will be completely dismantled and replaced with a new grid which is more energy efficient & there will be a more efficient solar system, which is not always the case. There is a lot of research by other economists on how solar energy will get more cost efficient. So I think when we look at all that and then look at all the scientific studies and how it will work in the future, what will happen when we look at all the technologies that have been developed over the last two and a half decades?
It depends on what happens to the other solar companies to replace us with better, safer and even safer solar power plants. What if you replace what would
