Listed are the following disorders I believe that Mr. Parrish suffers from:
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
Mr. Parrish has an unhealthy obsession with the Yorkin family. He spends the majority of his day thinking about, talking about, going to their house or obsessing over pictures that the Yorkin family has taken. The obsessions are most definitely time consuming. He will drive around town to either their house or other activities that they may be indulged in to feel as though he is part of his life. He often day dreams about becoming part of their family. Mr. Parrish is currently not under the influence of drugs therefore it cannot be attributable to a substance.
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
Seymour is currently suffering to PTSD due to actions that were performed on him as a young child. He was directly exposed to sexual violence that was acted out by his immediate family members. He often has flashbacks, dreams and thoughts of the times he was sexually abused. He devotes his time and thoughts into his job and the Yorkin family to avoid thoughts of his past. It is often when he is alone that he finds himself thinking about his abused childhood. When he is unable to avoid these thoughts, he often has very angry outburst and reckless behavior. As a child, Seymour was a very fun and active child and as an adult, he often finds himself alone and shuts the world out due to his traumatic experience.
Major Depressive Disorder
Seymour also suffers from major depressive disorder due to the events that have occurred in his life; him being sexually abused as a child, losing his job, and not having any close friends or family present in his life. He spends the majority of his day is a sad and somber mood; the only real happiness he receives is when certain customers come into work. He does not participate in
