For who do you see in the mirror? For a anorexia nervosa patient it is never perfect. Never good enough. Not until they are dead or dying and even then they still would starve themselves to try to look right. With also major depression, and a bad self image, nothing could go good from there. With this condition mainly in women, but also affect men, and starting at a teenage years for many, but can also affect people at any age. This young Rosemary with already perfect body, is killing herself at at this rate does not have much time left.
Rosemary at the age of 17 at 108 pounds, with her best friend Tasha being ugly and fat in Rosemary’s eyes is so popular and all the boys want her. With a large group of friends, Rosemary feels alone and unwanted. Even at home she is treated as almost not there, somedays. Boys all call her names as she walks down the hallway. She dosen’t know what to do. Then as she is walking with Tasha down the hall, they run into one of Tasha’s friends, Stacy. This is where the journey really begins. As Rosemary notice how tone and skinny Stacy is she realizes that she needs to lose weight. Yes! That will solve all my problems. She was very, very wrong.
As the story travels on, Rosemary meets this guy named Jason, a school newspaper photographer and writer. They start to fall in love, but not in a normal way. He tells her he likes her for who she is under all that, nothing. Rosemary starts off with less eating, heavier exercise and recording her weight and every calorie consumed in a journal. In a week she had lost three pounds, She was so mad at the little amount that she sacrificed or controlled herself as she called it to lose more. With skipping many meals and eating very little as she did anyways, with a huge increase in exercise, hoping, dreaming to be skinny. With also the thought of sex on her mind, scared and excited, she wanted to look good for him, even if he didn’t care what she looked like. She cared for him, for her, and them.
Her mother soon takes her to the doctor. She says what condition
