“You these children of nowadays, you will not kill me”. A phrase I have heard verbatim from my great grandmother, grandmother and mother either laughingly, in confusion or aggravation. It is uncanny how the younger generations antics’ seem to turn the older generation grey, another phrase I have heard repeatedly. It is safe to say that a general consensus has been reached that there are many problems with the younger generation today.
According to the older generation (oldsters), there are numerous problems associated with the younger generation (youngsters) yesterday, today and always. Shortly, we will identify some of these problems.

Avoiding the issue does not necessarily make it go away. In my youth, it was not rocket science growing up. Do I believe that there are problems with the younger generation? Yes. But I also believe that these problems are relative. What could be seen as a problem with one generation could easily be classified or explained as change by another generation. I have come to realize that regardless of the generation, there will always be problems identified. After a brief research on my family, I arrived at the conclusion that the root cause of some of the problems stems from a lack of understanding and management of the change in times and the reactions from those changes.
