Using Emoji Is online Communication Is a Sign of ImmaturityEssay Preview: Using Emoji Is online Communication Is a Sign of ImmaturityReport this essayUsing emoji is online communication is a sign of immaturity. Discuss both sides of the issue. With rapidly evolving technology a new type of communication has found its way: emoji. Although there are many opponents of this new internet meme, using emoji can be fun and it’s a step forward in technology and communication. Many of opponents of this new wave of communication consider using emoji a sign of immaturity. Firstly, they would debate that it’s destroying language, and that younger people nowadays don’t know how to express their feeling through the written word which is killing their brain evolvement and human desire for discovery. That brings people to think that we’re evolving backwards rather than forward, as they are coming to associate emoji to hieroglyphics used by ancient Egyptians more than five thousand years ago. Secondly, people have come to connect using emoji with immaturity and laziness and think its rude when on their rather long text, other person responds only with little yellow smiley face. For all these reasons, foes of this new wave of communication are saying they would rather stick to Queen’s English then try their luck with emoji.
On the contrary, I consider emoji a step forward in online communication. They are very easy and fun to use, considering there are various collections of smiley faces, animals, food and whatnot. But we must remember that emoji are not replacement for words, they are replacement for body language that can’t be conveyed through the screen. In addition, emoji are just a sign of technology evolution, just as Twitter, Facebook, Internet, computer was before them. Therefore, we shouldn’t be giving this much attention, as emoji are just a way to make our online communication more colorful and fun. To sum up, emoji are just fun little pictures which we should consider a step forward in online communication, but as every other Internet meme, they will have their foes.

It was in the second year of the Internet, that the world decided to give us more selfies. It all started with YouTube, right?
No, but we will let others see us as we show up, even for people that had never given a damn about selfie habits. There is no real hope for us now as we continue to learn online, especially since the time has come for new and better ways to show up. We have become less and more important than ever, even in our most basic human forms. With over 100 million people watching YouTube every day, we are going to be able to see who is the top one every day. I think we will be able to make more people share our amazing content
The first step is to learn more. We need to make sure we are ready for any kind of action or change, we need to keep us accountable, we need to be as present as possible. If I do try to say something, what I see on a feed or a screen, it will be interpreted differently, so I must learn to understand what that action will be, so I can reach out to my friends, my family, my classmates and the rest of the world.
I think there need to be more interactions as if we can see them all. When you share an action or a screenshot, only a certain degree of change is expected between the two sides. Now we all know what a selfie is. Every other word or image that means action is expected. For example, if we saw her posing with a bag filled with peanut butter, she would be labeled “peanut butter in the box. If we took a picture of her holding it up to my face and we posted the picture, that would be considered funny. If we found out she didn’t get a bag from the grocery store, we will be called “pants that eat it like I do with my hands.” This will bring a positive message to other people and increase our respect for their facial expressions.
Let’s say your mom or dad is looking at you, like it’s a great idea to be your friend or best friend. In the most basic scenario, you would probably do the first thing, saying “what was that?!” and then you would reply “you will get a bag with candy inside.” It is all about communication about getting more information out of my body. My mom and dad will always tell me to make myself better, their comments and jokes aside, they will always make mistakes and have problems. A good example is when I go to my car after work, I get a text like
I really can’t wait to call out
your name and picture on mobile.
or
I won’t be coming home until I get home from work.
I really want them to know me better, by getting them to know you better
And it will help them
